Dr. Aziz-ur-Rehman graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore and was
declared as the best graduate for the year 1981. He also has the honour of standing
1st in Punjab University in fourth as well as in final professional examinations.
After being the first one to do FCPS in medicine from Allama Iqbal Medical College,
he worked in various capacities in Services Hospital, Mayo Hospital, King Edward
Medical College and finally he retired from Services Institute of Medical Sciences
as Professor of Medicine and Editor-in-Chief of Esculapio, the official journal
of Services Institute of Medical Sciences. Presently he is Professor & Head of the
Department of Medicine, Rashid Latif Medical College/Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital,
Ferozepur Road, Lahore. He is also Senior Vice President, Pakistan Society of Internal
Medicine (PSIM) and Editor, Journal of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine (JPSIM),
In addition he is a member Pakistan Hypertension League (PHL) & Pakistan Association
of Medical Editors (PAME).
Prof. Aziz is the founder of YouTube Channel, Medurstand,
where state of the art lectures are available for professionals. There are useful
educational videos for patients also. These videos are free to watch, download and
share.
Teaching is his passion and has delivered numerous lectures on various topics
on different platforms. He has participated in numerous CME activities both abroad
and at home. There are more than 50 research papers to his credit, which have been
published in various journals. His main areas of interest include Diabetes, Hepatitis
and Hypertension. He has as organized many courses, seminars, workshops, public
seminars and symposia on Diabetes and Hypertension and has travelled extensively
to attend international conferences and present papers.
